Hi friends,

I hope you’re all having a relaxing weekend in whatever part of the world you’re located.

Update: There’s now 33 of you subscribed to Sunday Candy! 🎉

What blows my mind is that every single one of you is a person I’ve connected with through the internet, and you’re all here choosing to read what I’m shipping each week!

Whether you’re here for a few issues, or decide to stick around for the long run, I appreciate you subscribing and allowing me to visit your inbox every Sunday.

A Peak Inside

The other day, I busted out some markers and let my thoughts and color fill the page. Here’s my colorful, and messy brain dump:

I Remember…

I’ve been playing around with a writing exercise I learned from Jen Vermet. It’s inspired by writer Joe Brainard, who wrote a memoir called I Remember.

It’s straightforward: Start a sentence with “I remember” and finish it. Repeat.

This unleashed a flood of hearty memories. Different people, places, and events from over the years. Some of them made me smile, and laugh to myself like an idiot. Others just left me feeling destroyed.

I recommend giving it a try. You may be surprised with what comes up.

Here’s a few I wanted to share with you:

In My Life

Doing the “I Remember” writing exercise made me think of one of my favorite songs, “In My Life” by The Beatles.

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain

All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

It’s a tender song that makes me feel like I’m being gently held while I stroll down memory lane.

Maybe it’ll make you feel the same.

That’s all for this week’s issue of Sunday Candy!

Thanks for reading, friends.

Until next week!

-Sandra
