I could totally feel that painful experience and how we spin and swim in life’s refrigerator!

...wonderful as always...pouring a glass of dogwalking sunrise up a misted hill...

beautiful -- turn that into a story.

The whole reading experience, from the typewriter aesthetic to the wonderful story combines into a beautiful bite-sized joy. This is living a memory, in its best form

"beautiful bite-sized joy"---Damn, I love that, Derek.

Also, it made me smile to see you came to read it like you said you would!! Thank you.

Woah! The peace and watermelon juice in the sky imagery was some baller imagery Sandra! Great job.

This piece reminded me of what it's like to go through your photo albums, but much richer.

Expand full comment

Hahaha baller imagery! Thank you, Baxter. I appreciate that you ended up reading!!

Photo albums? Can you say more?

Expand full comment

Yes - it's like when you go through your pictures at the end of the year and get a lot of memory flashes. Except that when you describe it as putting it in a bottle, it's like capturing all of the senses in that photo if that makes sense

Expand full comment

Yes, it does!! I love that, Baxter.

So glad I got to read this. I savored every word, like a dessert eaten with a tiny spoon, to enjoy it longer. Exquisite writing!

Whoa Diana. This is one of my favorite compliments I've gotten. Thank you for savoring!

So beautifully written, I mean both the words and the feels. Keep it up Sandra!

Words and feels!! You get me, Jonas.

Thank you for checking this out and letting me know what you think!

I felt like I was there! This was really cool.

Expand full comment

You were! Somewhere in the clouds, I think.

I finally have words for how your writing makes me feel: like a sky someone squeezed watermelon and peach juice on!

Expand full comment

Lol what does this mean!

Expand full comment

It's comforting and I constantly revel in the beauty <3

P.S. I'd like this on the rocks please.

So happy to read the published version! Loved, loved how it turned out. Your great quality writing, now applied to fiction, makes us all the more complete. I want more stories!

It's such an amazing world and concept you've developed here with so few words, what a colorful imagination you have. Glad she could readjust her memory, will try to do that someday ;)

So, what is she going to work on now?

Expand full comment

Haha the stories will come!! I think.

Thank you for your help and encouragement with this one. It means the world to me.

It's a mystery---what do you, dear reader, think she's going to work on now?

Expand full comment

I think she'll fix a few more of her memories, before jumping into a grand crusade of fixing all the messed up memories of humanity as a whole. Cheers to her!

Expand full comment

ALL the messed up memories of humanity?!

My god, man. Your dreams for her are ambitious.

Expand full comment

Tell HER, I can't control her ambitions

Expand full comment

This was so fun. And so beautiful.

Thank you for reading :)

But...it's not Wednesday. This is not graphs or boring things, Henri. Data awaits!!

Expand full comment

I feel so caught out! Don’t tell the data people, okay! I needed some Sunday Candy for motivation.

Expand full comment

You ARE the data people!! You are your own enemy!

Honored that Sunday Candy can be a source of motivation to data it up. It's honest work, but someone's gotta motivate the data people. I hear they have many addictions. I'll be thrilled if Sunday Candy becomes one.

Unless this IS the boring things. Is this the boring things??!
